Composition, Immersion and Engagement: A Discussion in Full-dome Production Techniques

When working in dome format, a lot of traditional rules of composition such as shot sizes and some types of transitions cannot be applied. This round-table workshop aims to discuss more creative ways of working within the dome and engaging audiences not just with compositional techniques, but the things which make planetariums unique as a medium. Following some initial ideas presented. We will breakout into groups and workshop techniques that can be applied to any production in any dome. At the end of this workshop, our learnings will be shared with the planetarium community via a Planetarian Article, and dissemination to contributors.
