Getting people interested in science can be a challenging task. Therefore, we need to find innovative ways to share scientific knowledge in an accessible and engaging way. From creative writing to interactive visualizations, many techniques can be applied to keep audiences engaged and to help people understand complex scientific concepts. These techniques are especially crucial in today’s fast-paced society, where everyone seeks immediate gratification.

Planetariums provide a unique opportunity to share astronomical knowledge with the public in an immersive and attractive way. However, creating content for planetariums is not an easy task. Despite all the technological challenges, it requires a broad team of experienced educators, science writers, storytellers, moviemakers, and artists, combining their expertise to create engaging and informative content.

This presentation will illustrate how creative techniques can be used to develop storylines that simultaneously captivate and educate audiences and how emotions can be effectively incorporated into planetarium movies. Doing so is vital for amplifying engagement and optimizing the learning result that comes with it.
