Presentation theme: fulldome

Fulldome storytelling has advanced massively in its short ~30 year history. The CG, live action and real-time tools are advancing at an accelerated pace and we are at the dawn of new possibilities with generative AI developing at an exponential rate. What stories do we want to tell in our domes now the limits are being removed? Fulldome was born from the stars but what lies beyond now that these digital canvases are more accessible to a range of storytellers and audiences than ever before. Examples of success and failures for non astronomy/space content over the years and what audiences are seeking. What production challenges remain and what are the opportunities for more inclusive co-creation with the audiences we serve.
