How (not) to build the LED planetarium

LED display technology is currently a big deal in the planetarium industry. It has plenty of amazing features and significant drawbacks. Nobody can be sure today if it's an ultimate replacement for all the projectors in the planetarium or a dead-end road. 

I'd like to present the process of adopting the technology from the planetarian's point of view—from the position of a person who tries to build the first LED planetarium in Europe. What are the pros and cons? What looks like an advantage and is a pit instead? Is it worth it? And what are the traps on the way? We are in the middle of a unique experience and are open to share it with others.
